MARRIAGE TO AN INDONESIAN CITIZEN GIRL
Documents Required for Pakistani Man to Get N.O.C. for Marriage with Indonesian Girl
1. The bridegroom must produce an original letter of willingness (personal statement).
- Original document from his father stating that he has never been married and that he is entitled to marry an Indonesian girl, confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad, or Camp Offices in Provincial Capitals. In case of the dad's demise, an affirmation from the mother, as well as the dad's passing authentication, will be essential (verified by MOFA). If the two guardians have kicked the bucket, a demise testament for the two guardians and an oath from senior kin (if any) will be fundamental (bore witness to by MOFA).
- Original and photocopies of CNIC/NICOP, a valid Pakistani passport, and an Indonesian visa or stay permit are required.
- Certificate of Police Character (attested by MOFA)
- In the case of a first marriage, a document from the union council stating that the Pakistani citizen is unmarried is required. The certificate must be fully authenticated by Islamabad's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- In the case of a second marriage, a permission letter/affidavit from his first wife and a marriage certificate confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs would be required, as well as the original and a copy of his previous/late wife's divorce certificate or death certificate (attested by MOFA).
2. The bride is required to provide:
- The girl's original willingness letter (statement letter), attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, states that she desires to marry without force a Pakistani man and would not come to the Embassy if they disagree.
- The original willingness letter (permission letter) of the parents stating that they consent to their daughter marrying the Pakistani guy, as well as photocopies of their signatures confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.
- Rt. Rw, Kelurahan dan KUA issued the original and a duplicate of Surat Keterangan Untuk Nikah (Forms N1 to N5). (NOC for Nikah from Indonesia's applicable Regional Nikah Office).
- In the case of a second marriage, the original and a copy of the previous/late husband's divorce certificate or death certificate. MOFA Indonesia testified to both.
3. The attendance of the groom and bride is required. Furthermore, the attendance of the bride's parents is required according to the timetable provided by the Consular Section after submitting the relevant paperwork.
The affidavit from parents or wife / unmarried certificate/authorization letter from the girl's parents has a maximum validity of four months. Documents issued prior to 04 months from the date of application at the embassy will be rejected.
